Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy describes activities that are prohibited when using KONTYRA websites, products, hosted services, APIs, developer tools, and infrastructure.

1. General Rule

You may not use KONTYRA services in a way that is unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, infringing, disruptive, or inconsistent with KONTYRA documentation, product limits, or agreements.

2. Prohibited Security Activity

You may not use KONTYRA services to:

  • Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, botnets, credential stealers, or exploit kits.
  • Conduct unauthorized scanning, probing, penetration testing, scraping, credential stuffing, or vulnerability exploitation.
  • Launch denial-of-service attacks, resource exhaustion, spam floods, or traffic amplification.
  • Bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, licensing restrictions, or security controls.

3. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not use KONTYRA services to create, host, transmit, or facilitate:

  • Illegal activity or content that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Fraud, phishing, impersonation, scams, misleading claims, or deceptive commercial practices.
  • Harassment, threats, abuse, doxxing, or content that promotes violence or targeted harm.
  • Content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights.
  • Spam, unsolicited bulk messages, manipulative engagement, or abusive automation.

4. Platform Integrity

You may not interfere with KONTYRA service integrity, including by reverse engineering restricted services, overloading systems, evading monitoring, creating excessive accounts, manipulating billing or usage measurements, or using services to compete in violation of applicable licenses.

5. Data Protection

You must not upload, process, or transmit regulated or highly sensitive data unless the applicable KONTYRA service is expressly designed and approved for that data type. You are responsible for obtaining necessary rights, notices, consents, and authorizations for data you submit.

6. Enforcement

KONTYRA may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, throttle traffic, revoke keys, suspend accounts, terminate access, notify affected parties, or refer matters to law enforcement or regulators where appropriate.

7. Reporting Abuse

Report suspected abuse to abuse@kontyra.name.ng. Include URLs, account identifiers, timestamps, logs, screenshots, and any other evidence that helps KONTYRA investigate.
